INVESTIGATION ANNOUNCEMENT

[Did you miss the doctor? No? Too bad! His ugly mug is here once more, and his voice chimes in through the halls.]

I thought you morons would never find the body! Better go open that door and let that poor plastic shmuck out — HOHOHOHO!

Location 1 - Costume Room

[Well? Here you go.]

[Well, since Good Cop/Bad Cop is here, and they were first on the scene, they ought to take a look at the body itself. At least--what they can see. Kind of hard to really get your hands dirty if you're only an inch tall.

Maybe he can start by examining the stab wound itself?]

[Fairly clean and precise, and definitely not a crime of passion. The stab wound is fatal and likely killed her immediately.]

[Is there anything in the immediate vicinity that might be the murder weapon itself?]

[Yes indeed! It looks like there is a knife from the kitchen nearby. No red herrings, this is very obviously the murder weapon.]

[Cool. Nice knife. How far away is it from the corpse? Is there anything off about the knife itself?]

[Not particularly! It’s in pretty close proximity and doesn’t appear to be off outside the blood, of course. It’ll obviously line up perfectly with the wound on the body.]

[Back to examining the body, then! Outside of the stab wound, are there any other wounds or bruises on her body that might suggest something like a struggle? Maybe any Secret Hidden Messages left by the killer?]

[Not on the body itself - though speaking of killed, it should be noted that she’s not wearing her usual attire. She is in a vaguely ominous black and pink costume. It almost resembles something the killer from a B-Movie would wear.]

[As funny as it is to watch the tiny man scurry around the corpse, Mim grows bored soon enough and starts poking around the rest of the room. Is there anything else noticeably off?]

[A lot of things! But let’s start with the small box of clothing, on its side and half-open. It is placed near McKayla. Some of the cloth scare spilled out, but some still remain inside...in addition to what appear to be some colorful feathers inside.]

[OOH FEATHERS. Mim poofs into a cat and pounces on them. This is totally how you do a murder investigation.]

[Very small amount! But they’re colorful, artificial and appear to be from something that might still be in the room.]

[Definitely not enough feathers for a cat, though. With one of them sticking out of her mouth, Mim goes sniffing for more...]

[Hm, with Mim distracted by that scent, she will definitely notice the nearby feather boa. It appears to have been handled pretty roughly, as quite a few feathers are missing from i-

[Even distracted by the feathers, Mim will eventually have to notice the sounds from behind her.

When her attention finally hones in on it, the box seems to have burst completely, scattering the remaining clothing and feathers about. Yet, there’s no one else here at the moment, and the door is still wide open.

Weird.]

Location 2 - Dr. Robotnik’s Funtime Fun Chambers

[Not as fun as he makes it sound.]

[He's up here, and his walk was rudely interrupted, so he can't enjoy his day anymore. Let's check the rest of the rooms - this one looks like it has a lot of murder weapons.

Anything immediately off?]

[It smells. Bad. Kind of ashy. Was something burned here?]

[Gross. He covers his giant nose, wishing that Polokus never blessed his kind with enhanced smelling appendages, and searches for a source for the smell.]

[Outside a few ashes, you’ll hardly find anything noticeable - save for a nearly empty bottle of sesame oil.]

[Evidence. Gross Evidence. His coat is going to be ruined, but he wraps that around the bottle and hoists it out of the room. It may be nearly the size of The Magician, but fortunately it's light.]
