SECOND INVESTIGATION.

[The first motive was ignored by the perpetrator - but this motive might be more applicable to the desires of some of you. A large sum of currency offered to you by a shady man who looks like the villain in Willy Wonka. Even with that theming, it’s something tangible. Something you might be interested in.

Something someone else might be interested in.

There’s a sense of dread as you awaken this morning. Investigate?]

[Hm, with Mim distracted by that scent, she will definitely notice the nearby feather boa. It appears to have been handled pretty roughly, as quite a few feathers are missing from i-

[Even distracted by the feathers, Mim will eventually have to notice the sounds from behind her.

When her attention finally hones in on it, the box seems to have burst completely, scattering the remaining clothing and feathers about. Yet, there’s no one else here at the moment, and the door is still wide open.

Weird.]

[Surprised, Mim turns back to normal, but still has the feather boa hanging out of her mouth. She heads back over and glares at the remains of the box suspiciously.]

Trying to set a trap, are ya?

[Nope! Nothing. The box appears to be completelyy normal, outside of...well, being kind of burst open. But there’s no evidence of traps or rigged puzzles.]

Throwing the boa over her shoulders, Mim scans the room for anything that might have smashed the box.]

[It doesn’t look like there’s anything rigged to take it out, nor has anything else moved. There’s definitely a few objects scattered about still, but nothing that wasn’t already there.]

[Thats! Annoying! Mim doesn't like when she doesn't have all the answers laid out in front of her. So she stomps around the room instead, grabbing at anything that looks out of place.]

[Welll! Near the wall where prosthetics are hanging up, there’s a pair of what appears to be prosthetic feet. Hard to get a gander at them at the moment, thought, as someone has put shoes on them.]

[She can at least appreciate someone stopping to play with prosthetics. Let's just grab them off the wall and pull the shoes off!]

[Yep, there’s a pair of rubber feet in there! In investigating the shoes, Mim will definitely notice there is blood on the soles of them.]

[Mim now has a pair of rubber feet!

...And speaking of bloody soles, any footprints left behind by chance?]

[A LOT. All over the room. The most immediately obvious ones are bloodstained and all over the room, but there’s also a dusty one near one of the shelves.]

[Sup. Bad Cop and Good Cop are scouring the floors--since, well, that's what their eye level is at. He squints at the bloody footprints in disgust. Do the footprints look like they lead anywhere in particular? More importantly, does McKayla have blood on her shoes?]

[McKayla has some blood on her shoes, but not enough to seem as though she had been tromping through blood. The bloody footprints don’t seem to lead anywhere in particular, and not out of the room.

He’ll probably notice an object in the middle of the large pool of blood though!]

[Interesting...very interesting. Bad Cop squints, then makes his way over to the edge of the pool of blood. Can he see it without getting his tiny LEGO feet all bloody?]

[He can definitely tell that it appears to be a mask from here! But there’s probably a few details he’ll miss from this distance.]

[Bad Cop lets out a prolonged groan before slowly inching into the pool to take a closer look at the mask. He refuses to go anything further than knee-deep.]

[The mask, pink and colorful, lies in the middle of the pool of blood. There’s blood on it, but...the blood on the mask itself is odd. It streaks down the mask, but it looks as though it was smeared onto it instead of falling naturally onto it.]
